The write place
Welcome to Bridemade Books — where thoughts become tangible.
Classic tools for your modern life
Why paper still matters
Even in a digital world, paper endures. Writing by hand slows us down just enough to think clearly, feel deeply, and connect more personally with our own intentions. Unlike apps that disappear with a swipe, words written on paper stay — visible reminders of progress, purpose, and personal growth.
The power of writing things down
Science continues to confirm what people have known for centuries: writing strengthens memory, focus, and creativity. When we write, the brain actively processes and organizes thoughts — forming stronger neural connections and turning fleeting ideas into lasting understanding.

Who is Bridemade Books?
As a newbie on Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing scene in 2020, Debbie Bride initially launched a selection of journals for 2020 survivors to reflect on a previously unfathomable version of themselves and their socially distanced world. While likely eager to see their least favorite year end, these writers might still have wanted a place to capture and tuck away their memories for revisiting later in life.
Debbie went on to create several themed collections of weekly and daily planner options for specific years, alongside same-styled undated journal notebooks. She plans to continue updating and expanding these Bridemade planner/journal offerings, while also introducing a diverse range of other book formats, likely incorporating puzzles and games. Watch for announcements of new book launches, here and on Facebook.
MORE
Since 2017, Debbie has been living the dream as a Canadian continuing to create and communicate in idyllic Costa Rica. Early on, she lucked out with the ideal editorial job at the country’s premier travel and lifestyle magazine, Howler. Fittingly, the publication is named for the species of captivating monkeys that inhabit treetops in her own backyard.
Debbie has especially enjoyed working in editor roles on the publishing project teams for three non-fiction books: Radio Active by Joe Madison and Dave Canton in 2021; Manic Dawn by Karl Kahler in 2024; and The Murder in Room 3 by Harry Bodaan and Karl Kahler in 2025. In the latter two instances, she also provided the gamut of design and formatting services for publishing both the paperback and e-book versions. That included separate Spanish editions of The Murder in Room 3, titled Asesinato en la habitación 3.
Debbie has also contributed 130+ writing guides and blogs for job seekers on the career advice platform Resume.io.
Born and raised in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Debbie moved to Winnipeg as a young adult, settling into that vibrant prairie hub for a life and career chapter spanning four decades. Her communications background encompasses all facets of employee, membership and public relations in the telecommunications, agricultural and health care sectors.
